Seattle Fun?
I answered an email to someone about what there is to do in Seattle, so I figured I might as well post it here, too. Here were some of my ideas and favorite things:
Volunteer Park in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle
Ferry ride to Bainbridge Island and make sure to walk around in Winslow right off the ferry
Waterfront - lots of good seafood and shopping
Pike Place Market - shopping and of course the fish throwing
Pioneer Square - the underground tour is very cool
Queen Anne - go see some of the historic houses up there around 6th and Lee with good views of Puget Sound
Green Lake - park and walk around the lake - rain or shine - plus the Woodland Park Zoo is over there, too...
Zeek's Pizza - locations at Green Lake and Phinney Ridge as well as downtown by the Space Needle
Seattle Center - as a tourist, I think you have to go see the Space Needle, right?
University District - this is the funky part of town - lots of vintage second hand clothing and record stores.
West Seattle - Alki Beach wonderful Sound beach with great views back to downtown Salty's is a good seafood restaurant there.
South Seattle - The Museum of Flight - I love this place - great for rainy days with lots of cool planes, history and even one of the Air Force One planes there (Kennedy was on it).
Other fun stuff:
Half an hour out of Seattle - Snoqualmie Falls (they filmed parts of Twin Peaks there...) very cool waterfall with easy sidewalk walk to look out or longer hike if desired. Another twenty minutes down the road (I-90 East) Roslyn where they filmed Northern Exposure - very cool quirky little town...
Half an hour down I-5 from Seattle , North Tacoma neighborhood with huge mansions and the Stadium high school where they filmed 10 Things I hate about You...
The Pacific Ocean is 2.5 hours out of Seattle - Ocean Shores, WA is a cute little town or drive down to the Portland Coast through Astoria (The Goonies and Kindergarten Cop) down to Newport and stay the night.
And then of course if you fall in love with Seattle and need help with Seattle real estate, email this Seattle Realtor and I can show you even more of our great city! realestate@cooperjacobs.com

About Me:
Seattle real estate has been a big part of my life for well over a decade since I began my career in real estate, but also before that time when I was in the process of purchasing my own first home. Buying your first home can be quite overwhelming, but I have managed to help many first time home buyers along the way.
Move up Seattle buyers and other types of specialized purchasing is a great passion of mine! I love Seattle houseboats and you can find me down on the docks of Lake Union and Portage Bay several times a week. Other aspects of Seattle real estate that I adore include Queen Anne Real Estate,Wallingford Real Estate, Ballard Real Estate, Green Lake Real Estate, Laurelhurst Real Estate, Magnolia Real Estate, andSeattle Waterfront Real Estate.
In addition to being a Seattle residential broker and founder of Cooper Jacobs & Seattle Afloat, I am also a member of CBA (Commercial Brokers Association) and head of the Cooper Jacobs Commercial Division in an effort to provide excellent commercial real estate services to the Seattle commercial real estate industry. With a background in accounting and management, it is my great pleasure to coordinate our Seattle commercial brokers.

You left out Ballard, Fremont, etc..etc... actually you did a great job! even mentioning Tacoma!!!! Seattle is a great place to live and visit. I lived there for 25 years before moving back to Tacoma. There is so much to see in do in Seattle. Great post!!!
Best,
Scott
GREAT LIST of stuff to do. I'm working a little TO DO list myself, but it is a lot of work. I'll get it done by tomorrow. I love the banner photo. GBU!
You forgot to mention, curling up under a down comforter with your favorite latte and watching the ferries go by. :)
I love Pike Place my daughter and I are going there in a few weeks , and then to the Melting Pot-Dinah
Seattle is my favorite city in America. Just don't tell my Partner; he's a sun bunny. LOL
And just a hop, skip, and a jump away is the Olympic National Park, in a five-way tie for #1 national park in America (Yellowstone, Rocky Mountain, Sequoia, Yosemite, Olympic).
Ah, Seattle. My first visit was in 1993 during my midlife crisis. If only the sun shone just a wee bit more, I would probably be living there since that was the first West Coast city that I visited in 1993. Alas, I'm a sun bunny and need to stay south of Interstate 10. LOL
