Eastlake Living..
There's not a lot available right now in Eastlake surprisingly. Looking just between Roanoke and Newton and Eastlake and Fairview there are some wonderful townhouses (including some Built Green ones with solar solutions), and a couple good condos. While showing several today, I also saw some smaller rentals and one older home which could be lived in or would be a great opportunity for future development. There are a few houseboats on the market as well. Here are some of the shots I got today including seaplanes in the air and floating homes in Eastlake.
Are you interested in Eastlake real estate? Seattle floating homes? Seattle real estate?

Eastlake is a wonderful neighborhood with fabulous access to Downtown MINUS any traffic!!!! Even if you don't decide on a houseboat, you can still launch your kayak right down the street! Watch the seaplanes coming in or taking off, check out the Olympic Mountains, Gasworks Park, and more, plus keep your finger on the pulse of all of Lake Union. Eastlake is amazing!

About Me:
Seattle real estate has been a big part of my life for well over a decade since I began my career in real estate, but also before that time when I was in the process of purchasing my own first home. Buying your first home can be quite overwhelming, but I have managed to help many first time home buyers along the way.
Move up Seattle buyers and other types of specialized purchasing is a great passion of mine! I love Seattle houseboats and you can find me down on the docks of Lake Union and Portage Bay several times a week. Other aspects of Seattle real estate that I adore include Queen Anne Real Estate,Wallingford Real Estate, Ballard Real Estate, Green Lake Real Estate, Laurelhurst Real Estate, Magnolia Real Estate, andSeattle Waterfront Real Estate.
In addition to being a Seattle residential broker and founder of Cooper Jacobs & Seattle Afloat, I am also a member of CBA (Commercial Brokers Association) and head of the Cooper Jacobs Commercial Division in an effort to provide excellent commercial real estate services to the Seattle commercial real estate industry. With a background in accounting and management, it is my great pleasure to coordinate our Seattle commercial brokers.

Courtney: The last time I visited Portland, OR... my hostess took me down to the river, and we visited a friend who was living in a houseboat. I had never seen anything quite like that. And now, you mention them in your post.
Question: Are there any houseboats that are being built that are new ? And... if so, what is the cost in general ? I find that concept very interesting. Thanks in advance.
Hi Karen - I saw some presale new condo/co-op like houseboats , but they aren't really the same thing. There are only about 500 of these original floating homes - the cost is all over the board depending on what type of ownership and dock it is. I can send you some listings if you want to take a peek? Actually, if you go to my website I have a tab specifically for floating homes: http://cooperjacobs.com/index.cfm/page/51511/parent/38108/Seattle_Houseboats.html, but those newer condo like ones are not there - I can send you those separately if you like, but I prefer the classic floating homes in Seattle.
Courtney: I've always loved the Eastlake community... I've had friends that have owned houseboats over the years and really enjoyed going there. I use to hangout around Lake Union a lot more when I lived on Capitol Hill... Now that I've been out in the suburbs for several years, I don't do that as much.
Love your pic's... thanks.

What a pretty area, Courtney. How lucky you are to work in such a beautiful place. Great photos. You know, we don't have a lot of inventory right now in Sacramento, either. Our pickings are pretty slim as well.
Hey Courtney - I saw this area mentioned on Fox News the other day as having trouble maintaining value. Is that really the case? I was skeptical to say the least. Fox also did a similar slam job on Brentwood homes, but we've been able to push through the negative publicity.
