Alki is the original landing site for Seattle pioneers - there are some great historical spots all over Seattle, but I especially like Alki's beach with beautiful views of Downtwon Seattle and Queen Anne. My daughter and I had a tradition for many years to go collect beach glass on Alki Beach. It is also a great spot for spotting orcas, watching boat traffic, and even parachute gliders. There is always something going on in Alki and it has a feel of a charming beach town!
