Seattle Fun?

I answered an email to someone about what there is to do in Seattle, so I figured I might as well post it here, too.  Here were some of my ideas and favorite things:

Volunteer Park in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle

Ferry ride to Bainbridge Island and make sure to walk around in Winslow right off the ferry

Waterfront - lots of good seafood and shopping

Pike Place Market - shopping and of course the fish throwing

Pioneer Square - the underground tour is very cool

Queen Anne - go see some of the historic houses up there around 6th and Lee with good views of Puget Sound

Green Lake - park and walk around the lake - rain or shine - plus the Woodland Park Zoo is over there, too...

Zeek's Pizza - locations at Green Lake and Phinney Ridge as well as downtown by the Space Needle

Seattle Center - as a tourist, I think you have to go see the Space Needle, right?

University District - this is the funky part of town - lots of vintage second hand clothing and record stores.

West Seattle - Alki Beach wonderful Sound beach with great views back to downtown Salty's is a good seafood restaurant there.

South Seattle - The Museum of Flight - I love this place - great for rainy days with lots of cool planes, history and even one of the Air Force One planes there (Kennedy was on it).

 Other fun stuff:

Half an hour out of Seattle - Snoqualmie Falls (they filmed parts of Twin Peaks there...) very cool waterfall with easy sidewalk walk to look out or longer hike if desired. Another twenty minutes down the road (I-90 East) Roslyn where they filmed Northern Exposure - very cool quirky little town...

Half an hour down I-5 from Seattle , North Tacoma neighborhood with huge mansions and the Stadium high school where they filmed 10 Things I hate about You...

The Pacific Ocean is 2.5 hours out of Seattle - Ocean Shores, WA is a cute little town or drive down to the Portland Coast through Astoria (The Goonies and Kindergarten Cop) down to Newport and stay the night.

And then of course if you fall in love with Seattle and need help with Seattle real estate, email this Seattle Realtor and I can show you even more of our great city!  realestate@cooperjacobs.com
